London Fashion Week
Well, let me just say wow! Designers really out did themselves.
Matthew Williamson went very ”springy” for next spring. A lot of flower prints, strong colours, light materials. It’s kinda nice to see for a change that designers stick to seasons features and don’t send down the runway all black and white clothes for spring.
Antonio Berardi went pink this year. I have to say that I really like it, although I don’t like to wear pink things. But pink and gold sandals on jeans with some cool leather jacket would be just fine 🙂 My favourite outfit was black bodycon skirt with oversized leather top (that you can see on the last picture).
Another brand that did very springy things was Burberry Prorsum. It’s a big change for Burberry to do such a feminine line I think. I mean they did women’s clothes but they always gave them some masculine touch. This time the collection is very calm and parisian chic as Rachel Zoe would say 🙂 Interesting thing – at the end of the show the flower petals were raining upon all the guests – romantic isn’t it?
Master of mixed prints Mary Katrantzou did some interesting prints. On some clothes she did abstract prints, on the others some sneakers prints and on the others men’s shoes. It’s funny how on the first sight you don’t even seen what the prints are. You just see printed clothes, but when you focus, you will see things that you’d never put on clothes because it would look stupid. But not in Katrantzou’s case – she knows what she’s doing.
I guess that Peter Pilotto’s woman won’t wear any trousers next spring. The collection consisted skirts , dresses and one jacket. My personal opinion is that if a woman want’s to survive in this crule man’s world, she has to wear pants. That’ just how it is 😀
And for the end the man how’s gowns are in my opinion one of the most amazing things on the world – Tom Ford. He sure knows what woman like to wear. His collection had everything – clothes for working woman, sexy night out dresses, gowns…Could you just look at the details on all his clothes? It’s just amazing. I love it.
